Type MS-SDM: Strategic Design and Management

MS-SDM student at Parsons School of Design, applying systems thinking to design and strategy. Recent work includes partnering with Third Lane Micromobility to develop a product and service for non-traditional users and collaborating across New York City and Argentina on intergenerational models of urban living and care.

I work independently and in groups across projects from research to delivery, using an iterative process that is curious, imaginative, and focused.

Areas of study: Design research | product development | systems thinking | design technology | communications | collaborative practice and group facilitation | artificial intelligence and new technologies

Selected Projects

External Engagement Studio — Third Lane Micromobility
External Engagement Studio | Third Lane Micromobility
  • Micromobility ridership skews 70% male and only 30% female; barriers of entry for women are perceived safety and product design.
  • Recommend centering safety and belonging; product improvements to accommodate carrying more items on bikes and scooters and community partnerships for artistic skin designs.
  • When you design for the most constrained user, you design for everyone.
Intergenerational Design
Intergenerational Design
  • While universities across the country face dropping attendance and income, people 55+ hold over 70% of the US's wealth and many will require retirement housing and care.
  • Care workers provide important work in society, yet many struggle to earn a reliable income and secure housing.
  • Through desk research, interviews, site visits, and close work with my professors, I developed a strategic case for intergenerational living movements and presented recommendations directly to stakeholders.
  • The value of intergenerational thinking extends far beyond housing and education — it can strengthen any movement or campaign.
Project Facilitation and Collaborative Practice
Project Facilitation & Collaborative Practice
  • Consistently took a leadership role in a studio dedicated to collaborative practice.
  • Facilitated systems mapping, journey mapping, concept linking, and futurist workshops.
New Business Models
New Business Models
  • Challenge: Design a new, profitable business with a focus on sustainability.
  • Think Depop meets Craigslist meets Etsy — a furniture sale and resale platform supporting local buyers and artists.
  • Users curate their home through the app; local artists can set up a shop without needing their own website or marketing presence.
